Will painting my roof make it watertight?
Answer :
You roof needs to breathe to maintain airflow through the roof cavity. No amount of roof paint will provide a magical waterproof blanket. To make a roof watertight requires experience to identify the origin of the leak and repair the cause. This can be a broken tile, wind driven rain or a faulty flashing.

After resurfacing my roof is there anything I should do to maintain it?
Answer :
Once your roof has been restored a yearly roof wash is recommended. This is an environmentally friendly treatment that will self clean the roof over a period of 6-12 months of natural weathering. The main purpose of this is to keep moss and lichen off your roof to extend the life of your coatings.

We collect drinking water. Will this affect my resurfacing process?
Answer :
To resurface your roof the down pipes connected to your tanks will have to be disconnected for the roof washing and coatings stages. Once coated it is recommended that you don’t reattach the down pipes until 3 good heavy rain falls. Urgency for the recoating process will be employed to minimise the downtime of having your down pipes disconnected.

Does much dirt come off my roof when you wash it?
Answer :
You will be amazed at the amount of dirt build and grime build up on your roof gathered over the years. After washing all this off your roof we then go around and clean all surrounding areas of all roof debri. Our aim is to only leave a clean roof and nothing else. We do ask that on the roof wash day that anything you don’t want to get wet be moved inside and that all doors and windows be keep closed with the washing off the line.
